Inverse

These works extend Imprint through a series of compact, sculptural drawings formed from negative casts of the body.

Working with inversion, the pieces register absence as form. Surfaces are pressed, displaced, and hollowed, producing cavities which hold the trace of contact rather than its image.

Forms emerge through compression and rupture, where interior and exterior begin to collapse into one another. What is present is shaped by what has been removed.

Engaging with habitat as something structured through interaction, the works consider how environments are formed through imprint and displacement, where traces remain embedded within the material.
